Blues Brothers Tribute.

Committed to the Blues Brothers were formed in 2003 by Ritchie Hicks and Richard Alcock. The guys met in Colchester and came up with the idea of mixing the music of the Blues Brothers with the film "The Commitments". That music mixed with some other music legends led to a great show full of soul, blues and rock 'n' roll.

In the first year Committed to the Blues Brothers performed 25 gigs mostly in public houses and working men's clubs. 7 years later having linked up with 2 very good agents and using our successful website we have grown to perform around 70 shows a year in the UK and Isle of Wight and have such clients on our books as Park Resorts, Park Holidays, Park Dean Holidays, Hilton Hotels, Marriot hotels and Greene King. We have also performed at a number of weddings and anniversary celebrations.

We have new and crazy ideas for 2011 (who knows maybe we will put the band together) and look forward to hearing from new and old clients in the near future. Here is a little insight into the performers:

		Richard (Elwood) is a 40 year old (yes 40). He has as much energy as he did when he was 10 and can almost out dance Bonnie Langford, with crazy dance moves he is always on the floor with the audience and shaking his tailfeather. He found out he could sing back in 2002 when he met his (now) wife Kay - also a fantastic singer. Shortly afterwards, Richard watched the Blues Brothers film and Committed to the Blues Brothers was born.
		Ritchie (Jake) had been singing for a number of years in different bands before joining Committed to the Blues Brothers. He has a varying musical taste and also enjoys recording music in his own home recording studio.   He's also responsible for maintaining this website and would love to hear from you via Facebook or Twitter.
